The Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the end-to-end implementation of a new Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) system in a Smart City operations center. As the on-site lead, you will coordinate across multiple teams and stakeholders – including law enforcement, the technology company developing the system, and our internal team providing full turnkey services such as system maintenance and operations shifts.
This pivotal role offers the chance to deliver a high-visibility, mission-critical program from day one. Your communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills will be instrumental in delivering high-quality results in this complex environment. A proven background in Disaster Recovery, C4I, Emergency Management, or First Responder environments is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives and deliverables.
    Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact (POC) and interface between the client, our partners, and project stakeholders, building strong relationships based on trust and open communication.

    Project Planning: Develop and revise project plans, milestones, and timelines, ensuring alignment with client expectations and organizational goals.
  • Communication: Regularly communicate project progress, updates, and potential challenges to clients, proactively seeking feedback and addressing concerns.
  • Team Environment: Foster a collaborative and innovative project environment that encourages teamwork and creativity.
  • Operations Oversight: Direct the implementation team’s work procedures – including working hours, dress code, shift changes, and work ethics – ensuring compliance with client-specific project requirements.

What You Bring

  • Experience: A proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex projects in Disaster Recovery, C4I, Emergency Management, or First Responder environments (required).
  • Project Management: Minimum of 4 years in project management, including leading cross-functional teams and client engagements.
  • Education & Certification: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; PMP or comparable certification is a plus.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills, capable of inspiring and motivating teams to achieve exceptional results.
  • Problem-Solving: Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on creative solutions.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to dynamic project requirements and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • References: Recommendations from current or former employers and clients attesting to your performance and abilities.

 

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range- $95,000-$105,000
Location- 2601 W Broward Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312
